- The dorms I live offer a 10baseT ethernet connection in certain rooms. I'm
- considering living there again next semester, and I am being offered my
- choice of room. I'm wondering, is it worthwhile for me, an Amiga user, to
- get a room with Ethernet, i.e.:
-
-
- Is it possible to hook an Amiga to a standard 10baseT ethernet
- connection? I just talked to the fellow in charge of the network and he
- said, no, it's just for macs and PC's... but I've heard stories of Amiga
- ethernet cards and of amigas being connected to PC networks..
-
- Is it feasible for me to do? I sure would like to have a 10mb/s
- connection (or however fast it is, better than 14.4 I'm sure) running into
- my Amiga. Has anyone else done this? IF so, what are the costs involved?
-
-
- I could justify dropping like $300 for an ethernet card for my amiga
- better than I could justify dropping $500 for like an old 486..
-
-
- (I have an Amiga 1200 mx1230a/50/50 4Fast)
